which first saw patients in 2001. Having qualified at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1984 he worked in general practice at various practices in the South East. He has been involved in Vocational Training of other newly qualified dentists and is active in all continual professional activities. In 1996 he obtained a Diploma in General Dental Practice at the Royal College of Surgeons. The ethos of the practice has largely derived from a commitment to continual improvement via education and learning and developing a team capable of delivering high quality dentistry.

His ethos is preventative compassionate care and has a large number of once nervous patients to testify. His leadership, ethical principles, first class practice management and clinical skills has made Church Road Dental an outstanding place to receive dental care for the community.

John Lythall

John graduated from the University of Birmingham Dental School in 1998 and now has over ten years experience as a general dental practitioner.

John is currently studying for his MSc in Dental Implantology at the University of Warwick with clinical cases being treated in Harley Street. A skilled, experienced and caring clinician, John enjoys providing dentistry to the highest standards and in so doing naturally establishing a mutual trust between dentist and patient, a relationship he considers essential to successful treatment. John takes considerable pride in his relaxed and approachable manner with his patients, which places even the most nervous at ease.

John believes it is important to be at the forefront of dental technology and as such routinely attends conferences, reads learned dental literature which ensures he is able to recommend and provide modern, up-to-date treatment options. John is a proud father of two girls and actively enjoys a number of sports including real tennis, rugby, squash and golf.

Christine qualified as a Dental Hygienist in Portsmouth at The Royal Navy Dental Training School, H.M.S Nelson. She previously qualified as a Dental Nurse.

Sarah Gardner

Sarah has been working as a Dental Nurse since 2002. She qualified in 2004, gaining the NVQ Level 3 in Oral Healthcare: Dental Nursing. She is also registered with the General Dental Council. she has 4 years full time experience and is now currently working on a part-time basis, since taking time out to have her daughter. Her other achievements include a BA(Hons) degree in Illustration (1997).

Caroline Kilgannon

Caroline has been a Dental Nurse since 2002. She has gained the National Certificate in Dental Nursing and also the NVQ level 3 Oral Healthcare. Further achievements have been the Certificate for Oral Health Education and training in Dental Radiography at the University of Hertfordshire.

Zoe is a qualified Dental Nurse having gained the National Certificate in Dental Nursing. Zoe comes from a nursing background having worked previously at The Royal Surrey County Hospital within the operating theatres. Zoe works full time, along side the Principal dentist Dr P Sansi.

Lauren Moody

Lauren Moody is our Practice Administrator, having been with the practice from its commencement in 2001. Lauren oversees the daily running of the practice and is currently studying for her Qualification in Business Management.

Kylie Winter

Kylie is a qualified dental nurse and registered with the General Dental Council. She has a wide range of experience in general practice. Kylie is very popular with our patients as she remembers details which helps them feel relaxed and individually welcome.

Gemma has returned to the practice following an absence and is currently studying for the NEBDN certificate. Gemma enjoys various sport and also had an interest in art.
